PRESS RELEASE

WELLINGTON.    Hampton Green Farm announced today that Pati Pierucci has resigned from her position as Head Trainer.  Kimberly Van Kampen Boyer, owner of Hampton Green, said, “We respect Pati’s dedication to her family and her wish to remain in one place for the sake of the children’s education.  We hate to see her go but we understand that her first priority is to her family and we wish her only the best in the future.”

Pierucci was head trainer for Hampton Green Farm for five years and, with the assistance of her husband Peter who worked as Barn Manager, headed up the training program for the stallions of this PRE breeding operation.  Pierucci, a Grand Prix rider, was instrumental in promoting the Spanish Horse through the upper levels of dressage competition, and has presented Hampton Green horses successfully at all levels from Training through Grand Prix.  “Pati came to Hampton Green at a time when very few trainers would consider working exclusively with an outside breed. She became an enthusiastic and effective spokesman for the PRE horse and was wholly dedicated to promoting the values of this unique horse to American dressage riders. Now that the overall dressage community has come to accept the Spanish Horse as a legitimate competitor at all levels, Pati can look back and see the fruits of her efforts at HGF. We are grateful for the level to which she has taken the horses and we look forward to the next phase for our farm.”

Boyer has turned now to Courtney King who will take over the training of at least one of Hampton Green’s horses.  “We are pleased and excited that Courtney has chosen to ride Grandioso, who has shown so much promise this season,” said Boyer. Pierucci and Grandioso, a 9 year-old bay PRE stallion, have worked with Robert Dover since last fall and the pair has shown this winter in Wellington at Prix St. George. Courtney and her New York-based coach Lendon Gray plan to be regular visitors in the training ring of Hampton Green next season in Wellington.

Hampton Green Farm is a breeding operation dedicated to the development of the PRE horse for dressage and located in Western Michigan and Wellington Florida. HGF breeding stallions are actively competed in the Wellington and Region 2 circuits. www.hamptongreenfarm.com
