Vaquero is a 2007 gray PRE colt by Cuatrero IV out of Encina HGF (Idilio II), born at HGF in Fruitport, Michigan. In late 2010 as a three year old, Vaquero traveled to Spain to begin training with Daniel Martin. As a four years, Vaquero finished in the top 10 horses at the National Young Horse Championships of Spain, and within the top 5 of the PRE breed. As a five year old, Vaquero finished again in the top 10 horses, and first of all PRE horses at that level. Now as a 6 year old, Vaquero has won every Copa ANCCE contest in which he has participated, and is ranked First in the Copa ANCCE, is the top-ranked PRE in the Spanish Federation (RFHE) and 6th Place for the age level overall. Vaquero is part of our building program for the future, and we look forward to his debut at the Small Tour in 2014.
